This jolly little holly pattern by Christensen Creations gives not only a template but step-by-step instructions on how to make it as a 3D embellishment.  Using using water-soluble stabilizer, it is easy to make a 2-sided leaf.  Whip or pin them in place, then stuff some berries for impressive texture.  SEW easy!
