Description
I put a ruffle on a baby quilt about 20 years ago, and I decided that this one should have a ruffle as well. It’s a bit hard to explain, but I used a lot of photos to help. A former English student gave me this fabric that just screamed “valentine,” so I set about the challenge of designing a heart from squares and triangles. Not that hard. I just had to add some lace to make it really feminine and sweet. I loved making valentines with paper lace when I was little.–Libby
Such a PERFECT VALENTINE for a little one! But we love them EVERY DAY, so it doesn’t have to be for Valentine’s Day. The two blocks finish at 12″ and are versatile enough for a large bed quilt as well. Easy instructions with lots of photos as well as diagrams…and full details on binding or adding ruffle–your choice. (Made in primary colors, it’s precious for a little boy, too!)
It also can be made scrappy if you prefer, and has great areas for adding embroidery. You choose HOW to create it, but if you have a little girl to sew for, you can’t beat that lacy ruffle!
