Description
Every so often, I like to tackle an abstract quilt or wall hanging. I got some beautiful marbled fabric by Jason Yenter, In the Beginning, which, of course, reminded me of marbles. Did you notice the “marble” rolling away? It’s going up on its own power. I was quite excited when this wall hanging won a 2nd place in 3D art!!–Libby
This jelly-roll-friendly wall hanging is beyond cute! While you can leave it as just tangled ribbons if you like, adding 3D marbles gives it great texture and appeal.
Christensen Creations has devoted 10 pp. to include not only colored graphs for piecing but also
- how to easily make the stuffed marbles,
- how to make half-square triangles,
- how to sew points,
- how to bind and make loops,
- and even how to add the optional mitered border.
Not for the absolute beginner, but a great teaching pattern for sewers who want to learn more. More than 20 photos and more than 20 diagrams along with detailed instructions.
