“Check Out Burton’s Whirl” #CC2325

Description

All hail Tim Burton, director of many eerily awesome movies and iconic mad mod artist.  In my town of Wetumpka, we actually celebrate a Tim Burton week because he filmed Big Fish right downtown.  My girl friend lives in the actual Big Fish House–what fun!–Libby  (Did you see Shellie on HGTV Town Takeover 2019?)

This Christensen Creations pattern adapts one of his memorable black and white whirls, along with some red and black checks to commemorate his art.  Made with big pieces and strips, it’s super fast and is likely to be approved by the most persnickety males and teens who otherwise might not be caught dead with a quilt!  Nothing granny about this lap quilt/throw!  (I even used loose swirls in the free motion quilting!)
