Give Thanks #CC2322 Throw

Thanksgiving throw or lap quilt with pieced Horn of Plenty

I had picked up this interesting border fabric with pastel pumpkins.  An interesting idea, especially the odd periwinkle ones!  I decided I’d try designing a Thanksgiving lap quilt without using the normal harsh oranges.  I purposely looked through my stash to find softer tones, and I stuck to squares and triangles because I know a lot of quilters prefer piecing to appliqué.  I’m pleased with how it came out and sort of hope my sample doesn’t sell because the soft colors look good in MY family room, too.–Libby

Christensen Creations believes  in giving thanks–do you?  If you’d rather piece than appliqué, this quilt is for you.  Made with simple large squares and rectangles, it’s a horn of plenty in homage of the Thanksgiving season.  Really detailed instructions contain 24 diagrams and 18 photos, including how to bind the cute pieced border.  If you can see it, you can do it!
